Leinart Receives Purina Prolab Technician Award

Eva Leinart, animal caretaker in the Laboratory Animal Resources Section, received the Purina Prolab Technician Award at the Appalachian Branch meeting held at the University of Tennessee on February 2nd. Eva was nominated for the award by co-worker Ruby Henderson (pictured with Eva), with a letter of support from her supervisor. The award recognizes outstanding technicians who care for and provide husbandry for animals used in research. Eva has worked in this field for many years, loves what she does, and takes great pride in caring for the mice used in research performed by the Mammalian Genetics and Genomics Section. It is terrific to see Eva recognized for her commitment and compassion for animals. Congratulations to Eva.
