Life Sciences Division Staff Member Appointed Associate Editor

John Miller, section head of the Biochemistry and Biophysics Section in ORNL’s Life Sciences Division has been reappointed a Divisional Associate Editor for Physical Review Letters, effective January 1, 2000. The appointment was made upon recommendation of the American Physical Society Division of Laser Science. Dr. Miller will serve a term of three years and one month. Board members serve an essential role in the editorial process by serving as referees in helping to adjudicate difficult cases, advising on journal policy, helping in the identification of new refereees, and playing a crucial role in a formal author appeals process.
