Large-scale analytical processing capabilities developed by the Genome Channel and Genome Annotation Consortium

Large-scale analytical processing capabilities developed by the Genome Channel and Genome Annotation Consortium. Human and model organism sequencing projects are producing data at a rate which will require new methods and infrastructure for users to be able to effectively view and understand the data. The Genome Channel and Genome Annotation Consortium, a multi-institutional project involving other national laboratories and universities, was initiated in fiscal year 1997 to provide comprehensive large-scale analytical processing and genome annotation capabilities.
